Management Forum tackles Crisis Management

Release date:3/17/2009

Kampala, Uganda: The British Council in conjunction with MTN will on March 20th host Chris Kinsville-Heyne a renowned crisis communications trainer, as guest speaker at the Management Forum – Uganda.

Chris Kinsville-Heyne who has worked for over 15 years as a media and crisis communications trainer says “In a world that has come to rely on the media in order to form opinions, corporations are finding that it isn’t enough just to be doing the right thing; they have to be seen and heard by all audiences to be saying and doing the right thing. Perceptions are crucial and corporate messages have to be delivered appropriately. Failure to do so has been proved to have a knock on effect on share value and bottom line”.

Chris will be joined by Henry Rugamba an experienced Public Relations practitioner to make a presentation on the topic: Spot the Crisis Miles away: Managing a crisis successfully before it happens at the Victoria Hall, Kampala Serena Hotel Starting 5.00 pm.

Chris Kinsville-Heyne’s training workshops have seen him provide one-on-one training to Ayad Allawi, the former Prime Minister of Iraq, plus many CEOs, and Presidents from global companies throughout the Middle Eastern region including Barclays International, Saudi Telecom, and Visa International amongst others. Chris was also the senior media trainer for the United Nations Training Advisory Team in the UK.
