Kampala, Uganda: Ibrahim Kyamanywa, a manager of a night club in Lira district is the winner of the tenth furnished house in the ongoing MTN Goal of Goals 2010 FIFA World Cup promotion.
This followed the announcement of the Ernest and Young-certified results on Sunday evening on NTV and UBC TV.
Kyamanywa, a father of six, was ecstatic. “This is unbelievable,” he said repeatedly. “This is one of the things a person can never think about or even dream about. Winning a house with all the home requirements in there; it’s unbelievable!” he said. “By the time I received the call from MTN I was balancing my books. I was really very excited and rushed to tell one of my co-workers about the good news,” added Kyamanywa.
But in regard to what he is to do with the house, he seemed understandably undecided. “At this time, I don’t know what I will do with it. But most likely I will rent it out, because I stay in Lira. Otherwise I need to first see it to make that decision,” he reasoned.
With only two houses remaining, MTN Manager, Strategy & Implementation, Emmanuel Zinabala urged the public to seize this once in a lifetime opportunity. “Ten people have so far had their lives changed forever and you too can have yours changed by simply using at least UGX 2,000 worth of MTN airtime per week. And there are also other prizes such as LG refrigerators, Sony 32” plasma TVs and Sony DVD home theater systems up for grabs.”
Zinabala was grateful to all that have taken part in the promotion up to this point. “We are really humbled by the response from our clients to which we pledge to make this a memorable 2010 World Cup.”
Kyamanywa brings the total number of winners of furnished houses to ten. They included Amon Turyasingura, Geoffrey Matege, Teddy Nabukwasi, Hamza Yusuf, Hamza Swale Kamara, Joyce Nalukambi, Savier Kasamba and last week’s winner Haruna Kassim and Charles Mugabo.
