 Kampala, Uganda: We have noted with great concern that a number of MTN customers have recently been receiving calls from some fraudulent persons claiming to be employees of MTN.
The fraudsters use different mobile numbers claiming to be running promotions for MTN. They recently have been calling customers claiming that MTN had conducted raffle draws and selected them as winners. These customers are then asked to send airtime or Mobile Money to the fraudsters’ numbers in order to claim their ‘prizes’

Please remain vigilant to avoid becoming a victim of hoaxes and fraudulent activity.
