Once you’ve changed to MTN Zone, your phone should display the discounts available when you make calls 24 hours a day, everywhere you go in Uganda. You will have to activate the cell broadcast option to constantly see your discount displayed.
To activate cell broadcast depending on your type of phone as follows:
For Nokia
Select: MENU - SETTINGS - DISPLAY SETTINGS - CELL INFO DISPLAY - ON
For Sony Ericsson
Select: MENU - MESSAGING - SETTINGS - AREA INFO - RECEPTION - ON - CELL INFORMATION - ON
For Samsung
Select: MENU - MESSAGES - TEXT MESSAGES - BROADCAST - RECEIVE - ENABLE - CHANNEL LIST - ADD CHANNEL - enter 50 under channel 10 - enter INFO under CHANNEL TITLE
