​​Welcome to the MTN Innovation Awards 2017.

Overview

The MTN Innovations Awards is a Platform we created in 2015 to recognize outstanding Applications developed by Ugandans as well as Outstanding Individuals or Private organizations that are enabling the local innovation Eco-System. 

This year, the awards will recognize Application Innovations in the following categories: Health, Education, Financial Services, SME, Agriculture, Media & Entertainment; these being strategic focus areas for MTN and for Uganda as a whole.

Award Categories

  1. Best Health Application: Despite the significant improvements in the recent years, access to health care services continues to be one of the challenges for Uganda. Health status issues include High child & maternal mortality, Diseases like HIV, Malaria, etc, difficulty in accessing health care and inconsistent quality in primary health care. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that aim to extend reach, accessibility and efficiency in delivering health services.  The app must address both consumers of health services & providers of health services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence features to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency. 
  2. Best Education Application: Barriers to educational opportunities arise from social and economic injustices, learning disabilities, geographic isolation, and lack of resources of all types. Used creatively, technology can enhance both the experience and reach of Education. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that are transforming the Experience and Reach of Education to ordinary Ugandans. .  The app must address both consumers of education services & providers of education services and demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  3. Best Financial Services Application: Financial Inclusion for all Ugandans is crucial in building true Economic empowerment in the 21st Century. The Government of Uganda has taken deliberate steps to build a more inclusive financial system as stipulated in its Vision 2040. Indeed in 2011, the Bank of Uganda adopted a new strategy for pushing forward the financial inclusion agenda based on four pillars: financial literacy, financial consumer protection, financial innovations and financial services data and measurement. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that are enabling any financial Inclusion. The app must address both consumers of financial services & providers of financial services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  4. Best SME Application: It is estimated that SMEs contribute to about 90% of the private sector production in Uganda and the main source of new jobs especially in the low income segments. A key challenge in the SME sector is the limitation in resources to enable capacity building and growth to full potential. This award seeks to recognize Applications that aim to address productivity improvement in the SME sector. The app must address both consumers of services & providers of services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  5. Best Agriculture Application: The agricultural sector is important to the Uganda Economy. In 2016, it was estimated to contribute 24% of GDP while employing over 50% of the population. This Award, seeks to recognize applications that are driving digitization for efficiency & productivity in the Agricultural sector. The app must address both consumers of education services & providers of education services and demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  6. Best Media & Entertainment Application: Entertainment continues to be a key pillar of the Uganda lifestyle with passions including Music, Soccer, Gaming, etc. As the world of Entertainment becomes more digitized globally, the Local scene must adapt in order to benefit from the opportunities therein. The app must address both consumers of  services & providers of services and demonstrate enabling business  intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  7. Most Innovative Mobile App: The Mobile phone has been central to the transformation of Uganda and the region as a whole. Today the mobile phone is not just a tool of Communication but rather a channel to Transfer Money, Buy and Sell goods, access Entertainment, etc. This award is also given at the judges' discretion to Mobile applications that invent, innovate, revolutionize, recreate or transform things. It is therefore not a category that is open for entry. This app may or may not be from any of the categories indicated above.
  8.  Outstanding Woman in Innovation: This is award seeks to recognize Women that are demonstrating a leading role in defining the innovation for Uganda through Mobile Application Innovations that they have developed or other initiatives that they are driving towards building the eco-system.
  9.  Innovation Achiever of the Year: This is a special Award to recognize an Individual or private Entity that has had significant impact in defining, enabling and influencing the Innovation Eco-system of Uganda through local initiatives and activities.       
Eligibility Criteria

Submissions must meet the following criteria:
  • For Entries to any of the Application Categories:
      • The Application is already launched and is being actively used with measurable impact ( e.g. number of users, revenue generated, etc)
      • The Application addresses a problem or opportunity as defined in the Award category
      • The Mobile App was launched from 2014 onwards
      • The Mobile Application was created by a Ugandan (s)
  • For Outstanding Woman in Innovation and Innovation Achiever of the year:
      • The individual or organization has been active in the innovation space of Uganda for at least 4 years
      • The individual or private organization has implemented initiatives that are:
        • Of pioneering impact in Uganda
        • Still actively running or completed with positive results
        • Implemented in Uganda or internationally with direct benefits for Uganda
        • Have or will have a long term positive and sustainable impact for innovation in Uganda
        • Have or will have potential for a Mass market
        • Have or will result in positioning Uganda in the global innovation space regionally or internationally
Judging Criteria

Categories for Applications:

  • Entries will be rated on each of the criteria below, on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the highest score:
  • Innovation Caliber – Uniqueness of the Application idea and relevance in the Uganda Market
  • Alignment to the category  -  How aligned the application is to theme under which an entry was submitted
  • Current Performance – How well the Application is delivering on its business objectives
  • Market Potential – The potential reach of the service which the application providers terms of market size
  • Sustainability  -  A demonstration of a sustainable Business model into the future
  • Business Case – The strength of the Application in delivering a  ROI
  • Scalability -  The potential and ability for the Application to be scaled up  
  • Customer Experience -  The richness of the customer engagement journey when using the application
  • Relevance in vertical industries - How well the application can support operational efficiency in business in the category while also enhancing consumer access  & experience of service
  • Rich Business Intelligence presence – The scope of inbuilt application intelligence to proactively guide user and service provider decision making.   
  • Multi-hosting – How well the Application  provides  a virtualized environment for Enterprise users

Categories for Outstanding Woman in Innovation & Innovation Achiever of the year

  • Entries will be rated on each of the criteria below, on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the highest score:
    • Novelty of Initiatives or Projects delivered -   Uniqueness  and relevance in the Uganda Market
    • Reach of Initiatives or projects The potential reach of the service which the application providers terms of market size
    • Current Measureable Impact of Initiatives or projects delivered in driving transformation
    • Sustainability -  A demonstration of a sustainability into the future of initiatives or projects delivered
Prizes

  • All the Awards will receive the following prizes
    • The MTN Innovations Award
    • Cash Prize of $3,000
Terms

​By submitting an entry to the MTN Innovations Awards, you agree to be bound by the decisions of MTN, which are final and binding in all respects and agree to the following terms and conditions: -

 

1.         Method of entry and registration notification: - Entry is FREE. To register, please visit www.mtn.co.ug.

 

2.         Deadline for Submitting Entry is 6th October 2017.

 

3.         Submission of entries: Each applicant will be obliged to the following in applying for Entry to be considered for any of the Awards:

 

  • Applications will be made online at www.mtn.co.ug. Application requirements:
    • Filling of the Application Form
    • Forms must be completed using the English language
    • A summary presentation of the project/Application/initiatives including current performance
    • Two Reference letters
  • Applicants may apply to enter initiatives in more than one category. In this case, an independent application must be made for each category
  • All Applications received will be judged against selected criteria by a panel of judges to identify winners
  • Winners will be announced at the MTN Innovations Awards Ceremony

 

  • All Award Nominees will be informed by 23rd  Oct  2017

 

4.         Award Categories

 

      Submissions may be made for any of the following Categories:

  9. Innovation Achiever of the Year: This is a special Award to recognize an Individual or private Entity that has had significant impact in defining, enabling and influencing the Innovation Eco-system of Uganda through local initiatives and activities.

 

MTN reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including the determination in its sole discretion that the application or team does not satisfy any of the above guidelines, or is inconsistent with the goals, image or policies of MTN.

 

5.             Time period: - Submissions for MTN Innovation Awards will run from 18th September -6th October 2017. Winners will be announced on the 8th November 2017 at the MTN Innovations Awards ceremony.

6.             Eligibility

  1. The Challenge is open to all residents in Uganda and citizens of Uganda over the age of 18 years old.
  2. Any person who on or after the applicable start date is an employee of MTN is NOT eligible to participate or win a prize. 
  3. You should be a law abiding citizen.
  4. Winners from previous MTN Innovation Awards are not eligible to participate
  5. For submissions for the Mobile Applications Award categories :
    • The Application is already launched and is being actively used with measurable impact ( e.g. number of users, revenue generated, etc)
    • The Application addresses a problem or opportunity as defined in the Award category
    • The Mobile App was launched from 2014 onwards
    • The Mobile Application was created by a Ugandan (s)
  6. For Submissions for Outstanding Woman in Innovation and Innovation Achiever of the year:
    • The individual or organization has been active in the innovation space of Uganda for at least 4 years
    • The individual or private organization has implemented initiatives that are:
    • Of pioneering impact in Uganda
    • Still actively running or completed with positive results
    • Implemented in Uganda or internationally with direct benefits for Uganda
    • Have or will have a long term positive and sustainable impact for innovation in Uganda
    • Have or will have potential for a Mass market
    • Have or will result in positioning Uganda in the global innovation space regionally or internationally

7.             Prizes

 

All Awards will carry the following prizes

  • The MTN Innovations Awards Plaque
  • $3,000
  1. All taxes and other expenses associated with the prize are the Winners' sole responsibility.
  2. The prize is not transferrable and will be handed out to the team with all Participants present.
  3. You agree to sign and return within a specified time, an affidavit of eligibility, a liability/publicity release and any other forms or documents required by MTN or by the tax authority, or any other governmental authority, as a condition of receiving a prize. 
  4. MTN reserves the right to void any application submitted for a prize, if it believes such application was submitted other than as contemplated by these terms and conditions, or that the application has been tampered with in any manner.
  5. If in MTN's sole discretion, it is determined that you have not complied with these terms and conditions and/or MTN is unable to contact you within a reasonable time period and/or you have failed to properly execute and return any required documents, within the specified time period and/or you have made false statements, and/or any notification is returned as undeliverable; then you will be disqualified.
  6. Should you make any false statement(s) in any document required by MTN, you will be disqualified.
  7. If you are disqualified for any reason, at MTN's discretion, a runner-up may be selected and/or issued with the applicable prize, at MTN's sole discretion.

     

8.     Winner notification and acceptance

  1. Upon submission of your entry, all eligible application entries received will be reviewed by a panel of selected judges based on a criteria set (please visit www.mtn.co.ug for details) and the winner will be selected at their sole discretion and the Panel's decision is final.
  2. In the event that you are chosen as Winner but decline the prize, it will be cancelled and MTN will select another winner.

     

9.     Warranty and Intellectually property

  1. MTN has the right to remove and/or reject any application that violates copyright laws, or that infringes on anyone's rights, or privacy.
  2. By making a submission, , you (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) warrant and represent that you either own all right, title, and interest in and to any protectable content (including, but not limited to, copyrighted material, or proprietary information) contained in the application or, if your application contains content that would infringe any rights owned by a third party, that you have secured the right to use such content and to license the same to MTN under the terms set forth herein.
  1. Rights of MTN
  1. By submitting an entry to the MTN Innovations Awards, you agree and consent to MTN's collection, use and retention of the personal information that you provide to MTN for all purposes related to the awards  (including, but not limited to, processing and administering entries, sharing an entrant's personal information with MTN's service providers and contractors as necessary to conduct and operate the awards ceremony, communicating with and awarding prizes to winners, making public announcements about winners, and advertising, promoting and publicizing the  awards ceremony). You also acknowledge that your information may be subject to the privacy policies of third parties and understand that the use of your data by any such third party is subject to the applicable privacy policy and that MTN is not responsible for such use.
  1. Indemnification
  1. You (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) agree to indemnify and hold MTN, its affiliated entities, and their respective employees, officers, agents, licensees, and assigns, harmless from any claim and/or liability arising from your failure to obtain the permissions and grants of authority described in these terms and conditions including all claims for infringement of copyright or any form of intellectual property.
  2. You (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) further agree to indemnify MTN, its affiliated entities, and their respective employees, officers, directors, agents, licensees, and assigns, harmless from any and all liability howsoever arising including oversight, negligence, or willful misconduct.
  1. General terms
  1. The MTN Innovations Awards will be cancelled where it is void in whole, or in part where prohibited by law. 
  2. MTN is not responsible for any entry that is incomplete or incorrect, or for any failures, errors, or delays with respect to submission of any entry. 
  3. Any attempt by you to deliberately interfere with or manipulate the Awards may be a violation of criminal and/or civil law and may result, among other things, in disqualification from the Awards. 
  4. MTN reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to terminate or suspend the Awards, in whole or in part, or to modify the Awards, should any factor (including but not limited to fraud or security breach) interfere with the Awards as contemplated by these terms and conditions or if MTN believes that the Awards has been or will be compromised in any way. 
  5. Ugandan law shall govern this Awards. Any litigation of a dispute arising out of, or in connection with the Awards shall be subject to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of Ugandan courts. By participating you irrevocably submit to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts for such purpose and waive any objection in connection with the same.

  7. Most Innovative Mobile App: The Mobile phone has been central to the transformation of Uganda and the region as a whole. Today the mobile phone is not just a tool of Communication but rather a channel to Transfer Money, Buy and Sell goods, access Entertainment, etc. This award is also given at the judges' discretion to Mobile applications that invent, innovate, revolutionize, recreate or transform things. It is therefore not a category that is open for entry. This app may or may not be from any of the categories indicated above.
  8.  Outstanding Woman in Innovation: This is award seeks to recognize Women that are demonstrating a leading role in defining the innovation for Uganda through Mobile Application Innovations that they have developed or other initiatives that they are driving towards building the eco-system.
  9.  Innovation Achiever of the Year: This is a special Award to recognize an Individual or private Entity that has had significant impact in defining, enabling and influencing the Innovation Eco-system of Uganda through local initiatives and activities.       

Submissions must meet the following criteria:
  • For Entries to any of the Application Categories:
      • The Application is already launched and is being actively used with measurable impact ( e.g. number of users, revenue generated, etc)
      • The Application addresses a problem or opportunity as defined in the Award category
      • The Mobile App was launched from 2014 onwards
      • The Mobile Application was created by a Ugandan (s)
  • For Outstanding Woman in Innovation and Innovation Achiever of the year:
      • The individual or organization has been active in the innovation space of Uganda for at least 4 years
      • The individual or private organization has implemented initiatives that are:
        • Of pioneering impact in Uganda
        • Still actively running or completed with positive results
        • Implemented in Uganda or internationally with direct benefits for Uganda
        • Have or will have a long term positive and sustainable impact for innovation in Uganda
        • Have or will have potential for a Mass market
        • Have or will result in positioning Uganda in the global innovation space regionally or internationally

Categories for Applications:

  • Entries will be rated on each of the criteria below, on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the highest score:
  • Innovation Caliber – Uniqueness of the Application idea and relevance in the Uganda Market
  • Alignment to the category  -  How aligned the application is to theme under which an entry was submitted
  • Current Performance – How well the Application is delivering on its business objectives
  • Market Potential – The potential reach of the service which the application providers terms of market size
  • Sustainability  -  A demonstration of a sustainable Business model into the future
  • Business Case – The strength of the Application in delivering a  ROI
  • Scalability -  The potential and ability for the Application to be scaled up  
  • Customer Experience -  The richness of the customer engagement journey when using the application
  • Relevance in vertical industries - How well the application can support operational efficiency in business in the category while also enhancing consumer access  & experience of service
  • Rich Business Intelligence presence – The scope of inbuilt application intelligence to proactively guide user and service provider decision making.   
  • Multi-hosting – How well the Application  provides  a virtualized environment for Enterprise users

Categories for Outstanding Woman in Innovation & Innovation Achiever of the year

  • Entries will be rated on each of the criteria below, on a scale of 1 – 10 with 10 being the highest score:
    • Novelty of Initiatives or Projects delivered -   Uniqueness  and relevance in the Uganda Market
    • Reach of Initiatives or projects The potential reach of the service which the application providers terms of market size
    • Current Measureable Impact of Initiatives or projects delivered in driving transformation
    • Sustainability -  A demonstration of a sustainability into the future of initiatives or projects delivered

  • All the Awards will receive the following prizes
    • The MTN Innovations Award
    • Cash Prize of $3,000

​By submitting an entry to the MTN Innovations Awards, you agree to be bound by the decisions of MTN, which are final and binding in all respects and agree to the following terms and conditions: -

 

1.         Method of entry and registration notification: - Entry is FREE. To register, please visit www.mtn.co.ug.

 

2.         Deadline for Submitting Entry is 6th October 2017.

 

3.         Submission of entries: Each applicant will be obliged to the following in applying for Entry to be considered for any of the Awards:

 

  • Applications will be made online at www.mtn.co.ug. Application requirements:
    • Filling of the Application Form
    • Forms must be completed using the English language
    • A summary presentation of the project/Application/initiatives including current performance
    • Two Reference letters
  • Applicants may apply to enter initiatives in more than one category. In this case, an independent application must be made for each category
  • All Applications received will be judged against selected criteria by a panel of judges to identify winners
  • Winners will be announced at the MTN Innovations Awards Ceremony

 

  • All Award Nominees will be informed by 23rd  Oct  2017

 

4.         Award Categories

 

      Submissions may be made for any of the following Categories:

 

  1. Best Health Application:  Despite the significant improvements in the recent years, access to health care services continues to be one of the challenges for Uganda. Health status issues include High child & maternal mortality, Diseases like HIV, Malaria, etc, difficulty in accessing health care and inconsistent quality in primary health care. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that aim to extend reach, accessibility and efficiency in delivering health services.  The app must address both consumers of health services & providers of health services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence features to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency. 
  2. Best Education Application: Barriers to educational opportunities arise from social and economic injustices, learning disabilities, geographic isolation, and lack of resources of all types. Used creatively, technology can enhance both the experience and reach of Education. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that are transforming the Experience and Reach of Education to ordinary Ugandans. .  The app must address both consumers of education services & providers of education services and demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  3. Best Financial Services Application: Financial Inclusion for all Ugandans is crucial in building true Economic empowerment in the 21st Century. The Government of Uganda has taken deliberate steps to build a more inclusive financial system as stipulated in its Vision 2040. Indeed in 2011, the Bank of Uganda adopted a new strategy for pushing forward the financial inclusion agenda based on four pillars: financial literacy, financial consumer protection, financial innovations and financial services data and measurement. This Award seeks to recognize Applications that are enabling any financial Inclusion. The app must address both consumers of financial services & providers of financial services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  4. Best SME Application: It is estimated that SMEs contribute to about 90% of the private sector production in Uganda and the main source of new jobs especially in the low income segments. A key challenge in the SME sector is the limitation in resources to enable capacity building and growth to full potential. This award seeks to recognize Applications that aim to address productivity improvement in the SME sector. The app must address both consumers of services & providers of services & demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  5. Best Agriculture Application: The agricultural sector is important to the Uganda Economy. In 2016, it was estimated to contribute 24% of GDP while employing over 50% of the population. This Award, seeks to recognize applications that are driving digitization for efficiency & productivity in the Agricultural sector. The app must address both consumers of education services & providers of education services and demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency
  6. Best Media & Entertainment Application: Entertainment continues to be a key pillar of the Uganda lifestyle with passions including Music, Soccer, Gaming, etc. As the world of Entertainment becomes more digitized globally, the Local scene must adapt in order to benefit from the opportunities therein. The app must address both consumers of  services & providers of services and demonstrate enabling business intelligence to enhance reach, accessibility and efficiency

MTN reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion, including the determination in its sole discretion that the application or team does not satisfy any of the above guidelines, or is inconsistent with the goals, image or policies of MTN.

 

5.             Time period: - Submissions for MTN Innovation Awards will run from 18th September -6th October 2017. Winners will be announced on the 8th November 2017 at the MTN Innovations Awards ceremony.

6.             Eligibility

  1. The Challenge is open to all residents in Uganda and citizens of Uganda over the age of 18 years old.
  2. Any person who on or after the applicable start date is an employee of MTN is NOT eligible to participate or win a prize. 
  3. You should be a law abiding citizen.
  4. Winners from previous MTN Innovation Awards are not eligible to participate
  5. For submissions for the Mobile Applications Award categories :
    • The Application is already launched and is being actively used with measurable impact ( e.g. number of users, revenue generated, etc)
    • The Application addresses a problem or opportunity as defined in the Award category
    • The Mobile App was launched from 2014 onwards
    • The Mobile Application was created by a Ugandan (s)
  6. For Submissions for Outstanding Woman in Innovation and Innovation Achiever of the year:
    • The individual or organization has been active in the innovation space of Uganda for at least 4 years
    • The individual or private organization has implemented initiatives that are:

7.             Prizes

 

All Awards will carry the following prizes

  • The MTN Innovations Awards Plaque
  • $3,000
  1. All taxes and other expenses associated with the prize are the Winners' sole responsibility.
  2. The prize is not transferrable and will be handed out to the team with all Participants present.
  3. You agree to sign and return within a specified time, an affidavit of eligibility, a liability/publicity release and any other forms or documents required by MTN or by the tax authority, or any other governmental authority, as a condition of receiving a prize. 
  4. MTN reserves the right to void any application submitted for a prize, if it believes such application was submitted other than as contemplated by these terms and conditions, or that the application has been tampered with in any manner.
  5. If in MTN's sole discretion, it is determined that you have not complied with these terms and conditions and/or MTN is unable to contact you within a reasonable time period and/or you have failed to properly execute and return any required documents, within the specified time period and/or you have made false statements, and/or any notification is returned as undeliverable; then you will be disqualified.
  6. Should you make any false statement(s) in any document required by MTN, you will be disqualified.
  7. If you are disqualified for any reason, at MTN's discretion, a runner-up may be selected and/or issued with the applicable prize, at MTN's sole discretion.

     

8.     Winner notification and acceptance

  1. Upon submission of your entry, all eligible application entries received will be reviewed by a panel of selected judges based on a criteria set (please visit www.mtn.co.ug for details) and the winner will be selected at their sole discretion and the Panel's decision is final.
  2. In the event that you are chosen as Winner but decline the prize, it will be cancelled and MTN will select another winner.

     

9.     Warranty and Intellectually property

  1. MTN has the right to remove and/or reject any application that violates copyright laws, or that infringes on anyone's rights, or privacy.
  2. By making a submission, , you (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) warrant and represent that you either own all right, title, and interest in and to any protectable content (including, but not limited to, copyrighted material, or proprietary information) contained in the application or, if your application contains content that would infringe any rights owned by a third party, that you have secured the right to use such content and to license the same to MTN under the terms set forth herein.
  1. Rights of MTN
  1. By submitting an entry to the MTN Innovations Awards, you agree and consent to MTN's collection, use and retention of the personal information that you provide to MTN for all purposes related to the awards  (including, but not limited to, processing and administering entries, sharing an entrant's personal information with MTN's service providers and contractors as necessary to conduct and operate the awards ceremony, communicating with and awarding prizes to winners, making public announcements about winners, and advertising, promoting and publicizing the  awards ceremony). You also acknowledge that your information may be subject to the privacy policies of third parties and understand that the use of your data by any such third party is subject to the applicable privacy policy and that MTN is not responsible for such use.
  1. Indemnification
  1. You (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) agree to indemnify and hold MTN, its affiliated entities, and their respective employees, officers, agents, licensees, and assigns, harmless from any claim and/or liability arising from your failure to obtain the permissions and grants of authority described in these terms and conditions including all claims for infringement of copyright or any form of intellectual property.
  2. You (in the case of a team, all members of your team jointly and severally) further agree to indemnify MTN, its affiliated entities, and their respective employees, officers, directors, agents, licensees, and assigns, harmless from any and all liability howsoever arising including oversight, negligence, or willful misconduct.
  1. General terms
  1. The MTN Innovations Awards will be cancelled where it is void in whole, or in part where prohibited by law. 
  2. MTN is not responsible for any entry that is incomplete or incorrect, or for any failures, errors, or delays with respect to submission of any entry. 
  3. Any attempt by you to deliberately interfere with or manipulate the Awards may be a violation of criminal and/or civil law and may result, among other things, in disqualification from the Awards. 
  4. MTN reserves the right, without prior notice and at any time, to terminate or suspend the Awards, in whole or in part, or to modify the Awards, should any factor (including but not limited to fraud or security breach) interfere with the Awards as contemplated by these terms and conditions or if MTN believes that the Awards has been or will be compromised in any way. 
  5. Ugandan law shall govern this Awards. Any litigation of a dispute arising out of, or in connection with the Awards shall be subject to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of Ugandan courts. By participating you irrevocably submit to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of such courts for such purpose and waive any objection in connection with the same.
