I am excited to join MTN Uganda at such a time as the company continues to grow and consolidate its market leadership in the telecommunications industry.
I have worked with MTN for close to 10 years and through that experience I have entrenched the company’s values into the way I interact with both staff and our customers. I am a strong believer in the values of MTN and have pledged that I will interact with all staff and stakeholders with integrity, provide leadership, inspire innovation, cultivate relationships, while endeavouring to maintain a ‘can-do’ attitude.
The four vital behaviours that give expression to these values are: complete candour, complete accountability, ‘get it done’ and active collaboration. I trust you will join me every day in ‘walking the talk’ and put these vital behaviours at the centre of all our discussions and interactions, as we believe ‘actions speak louder than words’.
Together, we play an important role in our mission to brighten the lives of our customers and lead the ‘Delivery of a Bold New Digital World’. I too will do my part to ensure that this is achieved.
MTN Uganda has an 18-year legacy of investment in Uganda. We have been, and continue to be, a developmental partner with the government of Uganda, and over the years we have invested significantly in infrastructure development that has provided a robust foundation for growth.
This said, our focus in the next couple of months will continue to be on growing our value added services to meet the ever changing demands of our customers. Currently, with more than 10 million customers, we recommit to ensure that we will provide each and every one of them with the best service and value-for-money prepositions that will ensure that they are well-equipped for their ever changing and dynamic lives.
