George William Egaddu is a distinguished Ugandan accountant and corporate leader with over four decades of experience in audit, finance, and governance. He is a founding member and first President of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) and has held senior leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers Uganda and Coopers and Lybrand. He currently operates as a sole practitioner, providing advisory services in accounting, audit, taxation, and corporate governance.He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting (Honours) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA, ICAEW) and a Certified Public Accountant of Uganda (CPA Uganda). Mr. Egaddu has served on the boards of several leading institutions, including MTN Foundation, Bank of Africa-Uganda, Uganda National Oil Company, Barclays Bank Uganda, and Kakira Sugar Limited, providing leadership in audit, risk management, and strategic oversight. His contributions have been recognized with the League of East African Directors (NED) Lifetime Achievement Award 2022 and recognition from the Uganda Golf Union for his service as President.
