MTN Senkyu is the loyalty program from MTN for its customers. All MTN individual customers including prepaid, post-paid and hybrid are eligible to join MTN Senkyu. Once they join, they will earn points for using MTN services including airtime and bundle purchase, making calls, using internet, using MTN MoMo and subscribing to Rich Media Services.

Customers also earn bonus points upon joining MTN Senkyu for the first time, they earn bonus points on their birthdays and on their MTN anniversary.

Customers can use their points to get both GSM and non GSM benefits including voice minutes, SMS, MBs or for MTN MoMoPay.

A customer should dial *141# or use the MyMTN App and select Join in order to be registered onto the program. Joining MTN Senkyu is free.

Earning Points

A customer will earn points when they;

• Load airtime
• Make a call
• Send an SMS
• Use data
• Subscribe to Rich Media Services
• Buy voice, data, combo or contextual bundle using airtime or MTN MoMo
• Use MTN MoMo to carry out any revenue generating service
• Deposit MTN MoMo on their wallets.
• Pay for goods and services using MTN MoMoPay

Earning Bonus points

Customers will also earn points on bonus activities and events including when they;

• Join the loyalty program
• Anniversary on MTN Network
• On their Birthday
• Any other promotions from time to time

How to Use points

Customers can dial *141# and select Use points to get any of the following.

• Voice minutes
• Data MBs
• SMS units
• MTN MoMoPay
• aYo Insurance

MTN Senkyu and aYo. 

MTN customers can now use their Senkyu points to get insurance through aYo.

At only 75 MTN Senkyu points monthly, a customer can get UGX 90,000 worth of aYo MyLife Cover and UGX 120,000 worth of aYo MyHospital Cover.

How aYo Senkyu works:

Under the aYo section on the MTN Senkyu menu, customers can do the following:

• Activate and redeem points for aYo cover
• Cancel subscription  
• View the expiry date of their aYo cover
• Add, view or remove beneficiaries

Eligible customers can claim their insurance cover by dialing aYo *296# USSD, and upon verification their pay-out is paid into their MTN MoMo account.

Validity

• Earned points will expire after 3 months if no points are used in the last 90 days. A customer will also lose any points they have should they opt out of the service.
• Redeemed minutes, SMS and MBs are valid for 30 days from date/time of redemption. If unused within 30 days they will be forfeited.
