This is a short-term, digital loan facility provided in partnership with dfcu to support mobile money agents with working capital (float) during weekends, which is a high-demand period. Agents can borrow through the MTN MoMo USSD *165*5*3# and receive funds instantly into their float wallet.
2. Who is eligible for the dfcu Weekend Agent Loan?
- MTN MoMo agents active on the platform for at least 6 months
- Agents with sufficient transaction volumes
- Agents with good credit and float management history
- Agents who have opted in by accepting the Terms & Conditions
- Agents flagged as eligible
3. What are key product features?
- Minimum loan amount of UGX 1,000,000 and a maximum of UGX 5,000,000(Loan limits are personalized and based on dfcu Bank’s credit scoring model using the agent’s transaction history and business profile.)
- Loan is available on only weekends (Friday Midnight to Sunday 11:59 PM)
- Loan repayment period of up to 3 days.

Weekend Agent Loan is available on weekends only i.e Friday Midnight to Sunday 11:59 PM and an agent has 3 days to pay this loan from the day of borrowing.

- Weekend Float. Supports mobile money agents with working capital (float) during weekends, which is a high-demand period.
6. What are the costs associated with the loan?
- Access Fee (Fixed, 72 hours): 1.5%
- Penalty Fee (Daily, on overdue balances): 1% per day for 2 days.
- No service or registration fees
- No taxes applied
7. How do I sign up?
- Dial the MTN MoMo USSD code *165#
- Select ‘Agent Loans’
- Select ‘Weekend Agent Loan’
- View and accept Terms & Conditions
- Enter MoMo PIN to join the Weekend Agent Loan
- An SMS is sent to the agent upon successful registration.

- Select ‘Agent Loans’
- Select ‘Weekend Agent Loan’

- Select 1 to proceed
- Select ‘Get a Loan’

- If no outstanding loan balance, the account will be closed
- If loan balance exists, you must repay before opting out.
13. How is repayment made?

- Enter MoMo PIN
- Select 1 to proceed
- Select ‘Repay Loan’
- Choose partial or full repayment option
- Select 1 for partial repayment and include the amount then confirm.

14. What happens if I do not repay on time?
- A daily penalty fee of 1 daily% applies on overdue balances
