  • Dial *100*23# for WakaNet and *177*1*6# for Business Internet or log into the MyMTN App. 
  • MyMTN App Navigate to WakaNet > WakaNet 4G Router, then click Check Status and enter your WakaNet 4G Router number (0394XXXXXX).
  • MyMTN App Business internet – Navigate buy > Business Solutions > Business internet 4G > Check Balance.

Only exclusive number ranges assigned to 4G devices can activate WakaNet Speed Bundles.

Connect device to internet, browse with http://192.168.1.1. Login with Username and Password as indicated on the device sticker at the bottom/back of the device to access the change password option.

Check on the Router Device sticker at the back or bottom use the Wi-Fi Key to connect.

Look for small hole on Device labelled with reset. Hold down a Sim ejector Pin, wait for the device lights to restart to complete the reset process then reconnect.

Your 4G router is geo-locked, meaning it is restricted to work only at the physical address you provided during the initial coverage and capacity check. It will not function if moved to a different location. However, if you are relocating, you can submit a relocation request to have the service updated to your new address.

  • If you’re moving homes or office and use MTN WakaNet or Business Internet via a 4G router, you should notify MTN at least two days in advance. You can do this through the MyMTN App, by visiting www.mtn.com/wakanet calling our helpline at 125, or emailing wakanet.ug@mtn.com
  • In the MyMTN App, go to the 5G section, select Relocation, and follow the prompts to enter your new location and preferred date. You’ll receive confirmation once your relocation request has been processed.
