Yinvesta is digital service enabling MTN customers to invest with a minimum of UGX 500 and earn a daily rate of return on their investment.

  • Easy access to the funds which are made available immediately on request
  • Interest earned is compounded monthly.
  • There is no fixed or contractual investment period. MTN MoMo customers have the flexibility to top up their investment at any time.

  • Yinvesta is available to all MTN MoMo customers who wish to invest and earn daily returns.

MTN customers can open and register for a Yinvesta account by following the steps below;

  • Customer dials *165# 
  • Selects Invest & Insure
  • Select Invest with MoMo
  • Select Yinvesta.
  • Accept T&Cs to register.

OR

  • Login to the MoMo App
  • Select Services on the MoMo dashboard
  • Select Invest
  • Select Yinvesta
  • Tick box to accept Terms and Conditions
  • The customer is successfully registered…

The minimum that one can top up/Invest is UGX 500.

  • Interest earned will begin to accumulate after 24 hours of the investment. You will be able to see it on your Yinvesta account for tracking after 3 days under check balance option.

  • A customers can obtain a detailed summary of their statement and transactions at any time, including the total amount invested, available funds (both interest and principal), account details, and the amounts that have been deposited or withdrawn from their Yinvesta account. This is accessible by dialing *165*7*1# under Yinvesta and choose my account OR log into the MoMo App, select Services, select Invest, select Yinvesta, select Transactions.

  • MTN MoMo will not charge any fee on the MTN MoMo wallet for using this service.

  • Reinvesting means adding accrued interest to the initial capital invested. This is the basis of compounding growth of your investment. You can also have the interest earned sent to your MTN Momo Account upon distribution every month.Goal Savings enables a Yinvesta subscriber to set and save towards specific financial goals and is exclusively available on the MoMo App.

  • Monthly Interest earned is visible on the MoMo App.

  • Yes, you can create and manage multiple goals at once (e.g., rent, holiday, school fees)

  • Yes, you can set up AutoSave for both main Yinvesta account and your goal accounts, with flexibale options to save daily, weekly, or monthly.

  • Withdrawals are processed instantly to the registered MTN mobile number.

  • Investors have the flexibility to make multiple withdrawals at their discretion.

  • Yes, you can withdraw your funds at any time.

 

21. Is it possible for anyone else to withdraw my investments?21. Is it possible for anyone else to withdraw my investments?
  • No. Each customer is notified via SMS every time a transaction occurs in their investment account. All money withdrawn is sent to the registered MTN mobile number.
  • Each customer is also required to input their PIN for verification purposes while withdrawing their funds from Yinvesta. This is a safety measure to ensure the security of your funds.
