Case Study
Pachi Panda Environmental Innovation Challenge
MTN Uganda, in partnership with WWF, brings The Pachi Panda Challenge to local innovators, fostering sustainable solutions that tackle pressing environmental challenges. The initiative aligns with WWF’s Africa Strategy, supporting efforts to protect habitats, prevent species extinction, and promote healthy ecosystems, while advancing MTN’s commitment to protecting our planet and achieving net zero emissions by 2040.
The challenge engages youth, university students, and youth-led SMEs to develop and pitch innovative green solutions. Applicants undergo a rigorous selection process, including expert reviews, mentoring sessions, and boot camps to refine their ideas. Winners are chosen to represent Uganda across the MTN Group and receive prizes, helping drive sustainable impact and build a greener future for the continent.
